Topic | Is the Gameboy Advance SP the greatest handheld ever created? |
Zeus 04/28/20 8:45:25 PM #19: | Yes, by far. Great size, incredible battery life, good enough specs (rather than overdesigning it), and a spectacular library. The console of capable of playing most things that I could hope for in a handheld title. The PSP & Vita were overdesigned, over-sized, over-priced, and had shit battery life. I absolutely hated the PSP and had little interest in the Vita as a result. I had considered getting the PSTV up until I learned that it couldn't run PSP games and couldn't access the full Vita library. The DS-L and 3DS are alright, but they're too big and the battery life on the 3DS is so-so. If you are going for higher-tech, the 3DS and N3DS are probably a decent compromise, whereas the DS is in a weird nebulous zone (especially since it didn't even have an analog stick, which made games like the SM64 port suck). Granted, as a long-term design feature, a rechargeable battery will eventually doom a handheld since rechargeable batteries will always be available whereas the specialized rechargeable batteries for handhelds don't have that guarantee. Zareth posted... No headphone jack hurts it a LOT. Not at all. Who even uses those while handheld gaming? --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
