As people are saying, it's justifiable for multiple people, but I'd still be inclined to just wait for it to come out in a cheaper format. I go to see movies in theatres rarely enough as it is, even being able to do so for free (my credit card rewards program offers points for free movies and I've racked up more than I will ever use and should probably switch to a proper cashback card), so paying comparable prices to just watch it on my own television doesn't make much sense.

Far-Queue posted...
Given the success Trolls has had with this launch, Hollywood is almost certain to make this a regular thing moving forward.

It'll be interesting to see how well that works for non-children's movies. I imagine demand for that one was inflated by parents desperate for a new way to entertain their kids during quarantine, so those results may not generalize to other movies or once everyone is free again.
