Some of them in jail cells, others mid-crime. But it was L who insisted these were not mere accidents. This was murder. L: It seems our murderer has a way to kill his victims without coming in contact with them... Shuichi Aizawa: That's crazy! It doesn't make any sense. L: It's crazier than that. I believe this killer can also control HOW his victims die. And in order to do this, all he has to know is their name and face... Soichiro Yagami: Hmm... Touta Matsuda: As impossible as it sounds, I'm willing to follow L's lead! If there is a killer out there, I want to bring him to justice! L: You'll be risking your lives in this investigation, but I do want to stress how important this case is. This criminal is powerful. He's childish. He has a God-complex and thinks he can decide who dies. And most horrifying of all...the number of people who support his actions are growing by the day.
