Topic	how the fuck are some people not bilingual at all?

I should have at least learned Spanish. Last December I spent two weeks in Costa Rica, couldn't communicate with the nice local people I met. Had to rely on a translator the entire time. I've been using Duolingo for the past few weeks. It's working out well, I'm catching on quick. I hope to be not completely clueless when I go back. High school Spanish was so fucking worthless for me. All they taught me was how to conjugate verbs.
