Dont you use a computer or laptop in general though?

Just factor how much you would normally spend on a gaming console and how much you would spend on a laptop you use then consider a gaming PC a two-in-one entertainment unit deal for both of those products

The main reason I have a gaming PC is that I go through big gaps where I dont game at all so if i had a dedicated console it would probably be just a waste and collect dust. At least a gaming PC has gaming capabilities on standby when I feel like im in the mood. Otherwise I use my PC for all other entertainment stuff. My PC is like 7 years old and still plays most shit ive tried on it. People just get all stupid with specs have a compulsion to have the latest PC hardware.

Plus you should be able to get something decent for under $1000 anyways. Anything more and people are just getting into the memes cos they just have extra disposable money to blow. They end up getting into dumb shit like overclocking they pretend they need/utilise, double Graphics cards and water cooling placebo

What pisses me off though is when i go asking for pc game recommendations I always get indie games with SNES graphics recommended to me after they all recommended getting high end CPUs/GPUs/Rams etc lol

Like I said in my original post, Im in the market for a new system, so I understand there are people like my that want both performance for their work lives but also the additional gpu boost so they can game on it too.

What I dont understand is people who spend absorbent amounts of money for the sole purpose of just having a gaming PC. As in not using the system for a professional matter. Unless you enjoy the act of building a PC itself, I get that. Its just that the price to performance ratio doesnt add up to me when comparing consoles to PC. But if you have the money I totally get it.
