Naturally, there are jokes about the short cuts those animators took, too, and it also occurred in Looney Tunes, and probably in the work of the Fleischer brothers, Terrytoons, and so on (maybe less so UPA though). refmon posted... Why do people say calarts doesnt exist when we get this crap?Well, for one, there's no evidence that the designer of this thing went to the California Institute of the Arts, as far as I can tell. We don't even know who it is. And a lot of the creators often accused of being "CalArts" certainly did not go to that particular school. What people call the "CalArts style" is just "cartoons which look roughly similar to one another due to being made at the same time, within the same marketplace and aimed at the same audience". --- But the sacred Jedi, Tex! ...
