I would say it happens all the time. But our opinion can be different because we might watch different anime series. It's a bit annoying when you hear your favorite character say something good in Japanese and then read something that doesn't make it so special in the english traslation. Sometimes I'm having a hard time convincing my friends that the character was very thoughtful rather than what it seemed to be that he didn't care , something like that. --- Prejudice is bad addiction .
