I don't hate it... entirely. The beak and mouth piss me off though, reminds me of peppa pig and amazing world of gumball way too much. The rest of it and the sorta friendly style is ok... it's just that damn beak and mouth.

Oh gawd, I didn't even realize he had teeth. I knew something was off, but that adds a new layer.

Ditch the teeth and tweak the mouth I'd be ok with it.... but it literally looks like a character from gumball or some sort of homage.
