Since everything's been closed, people have basically been cut off from each other. Humans like/need (depending on the person) social interaction. If everything has been closed for months, then I see no problem with not waiting an extra day or week when you can finally do something like that again. Especially since if everything goes badly after the re-opening, they'll close again. Meaning people who waited too long won't have been able to do it at all. And you'll have to wait much longer... If they even ever open again. At least, that's how I see it. I'm not really the type to go out to bars much anymore.
