See, you say "easy stuff" now, but it's the easy stuff like this where the switches don't come back up, or the VLAN config gets borked in the process, or some other thing comes out of left field and wrecks your entire plan. If you're reeeeeally lucky, you still have remote access and can hammer on it until it's sorted. If you're not, then you get the fun unexpected on-site.

Although, you're internal though, right? So you might be doing these on-site already.
I save configs excessively before doing stuff like this, lol. At this company, there is a ton of support infrastructure for the network team. We have whole teams of people who do on-site work so I don't have to be there unless I REALLY want to be there.

And during these times, they're actually forbidding me from being on site unless absolutely necessary.
