In response to the protests and riots, he said "Since all of us cops are bad and you people think protesting is the best way to handle the situation, don't expect us cops to come to your aid the next time someone shoots up the Oregon District again. If you can protest and riot, then you can defend yourselves against shooters." By Oregon District, he's referring to the shooting in my city that took place last year. In Dayton, Ohio, on August 4, 2019, a mass shooting took place. A man opened fire into a crowd of people at a bar killing 9 individuals and wounding 17. Responding police officers fatally shot him 32 seconds after he started firing on people. It's very disturbing for a police officer to say this. I used to hang around this guy back then before he became an officer. When I knew him, he was pretty cool and kind of a goofy dude. Don't know what changed.
