| Wanglicious 06/14/20 5:58:18 AM #399: | something to pay attention in all this is the business side of things. i didn't see it talked about a lot but decided to check how AMC was doing. they released their Q1 data just a few days ago. revenue for Q1 was <$1 billion and they've a net loss of $2.2 billion. they say they want to open all theaters in July but 1) that depends on the state (won't for NY) and 2) even if they do manage to open people just won't go to it that quickly. 3) nobody knows what condition the theaters will be in considering how much debt is being taken on. Q2, April - June, is going to have a revenue closer than not to $0. you are looking at billions upon billions in debt. if they manage to survive the only good news is they won't need to pay taxes for a while with this kind of situation. --- "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel. ...
