Walked out my front door Friday evening to go for a walk, and there were a bunch of Kroger bags sitting right there at my door. Nobody around. I think to myself, "That's weird..." and wondered if maybe they were my neighbor's (across the hall) and they just ran back to their car or something.

I take my walk, about 20 minutes, and the groceries are still there. At first I was going to just move them away from my door, but then it occurred to me I should refrigerate stuff. So I ended up bringing all the groceries inside.

I looked in the bags and found a Kroger receipt, but nothing else. No third party info. But there was a line item for "Delivery fee" so I realized it was that sort of mistake. I called the Kroger (they do deliver themselves) and they said at that location they don't actually deliver, they only have instacart for that service.

Instacart said basically the person most likely already got refunded their money, and they wouldn't be able to do anything to help me track them down anyway.

I've posted on my community bulletin board, but I am not really expecting to hear anything.

I guess I'll just keep the food...
