In my county they're so desperate for people who can pass a drug test there's a $5,000 signing bonus to be a cop, and it just takes an associate's degree, and they're even starting to waive THAT. They were downright desperate before all this bullshit, now literally no one will want to join and cops will be walking off the jobs cause people throw shit at anyone with a badge. You're off your nut if you think this is "just the bad ones" or people aren't hating the police right now. Yeah it's idiotic. People are expecting Supermen to come replace them. No one in their right fucking mind is going to come in this climate. Hell even the decent ones we have are criticized. "There are no good cops because if there are they'll fix the bad ones" -yeah like it's that easy "They're complicit" if they're not, they'll probably be fired. "Lol a few bad apples right?" The only ones left will be the bad ones.
