By all means have museums have old documents, weapons, uniforms, flags, etc. You can even have a statue/model or two of relevant Confederate people. But that doesn't mean every General Lee statue made to intimidate black people because they can now use the same bathrooms deserves to be displayed. Maybe just save a couple of those to use as example of bullshit racial intimidation tactics. Maybe even in those exact words to describe them.
Yeah they are. Artifacts from the 1960s, of a society that decided to make statues to intimidate black people because they could then use the same bathrooms.

Literally exactly the kind of thing that belongs in a civil rights museum.
