One of the downsides of home ownership is that you have to do all of your own maintenance, either by doing it yourself or paying someone else. One of the downsides of home ownership in the suburbs is that, if you don't do yard maintenance, your neighbors will complain and you'll start getting fines from the township/municipality. True but that's good incentive to maintain a good curbside appeal. I used to live next to a guy who didn't do jack s* with his yard and it was overrun with weeds and crap. Attracted a bunch of rodents too. :/ --- I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was, and now what I'm with isn't it.
