Turns out most of the ones I really like were left for today! Couple stinkers in there though, Seel and Dewgong would be easy 1s if they didn't have nice designs, and there's a few examples of how uncreative Gen 1 was. Once again, a few which are literally just animals with a very tiny thing changed (slapping a horn on, different colour palette, or extra tails), along with the Gen 1 classic "it should evolve? Slap another head on it, problem solved!" Unfortunately I actually kinda don't mind some of those because nostalgia despite how much I want to dislike them, so they still get okay ratings. Also, Parasect. It's a zombified crab thingy controlled by parasitic mushrooms. Third best Pokemon and nothing you say will change my mind. --- Perhaps the golden rock was inside us all along. ...
