| Extreme_light 06/22/20 2:09:35 PM #10: | It's funny to me that people think almost 250 years of slavery would be resolved in nearly half the time since its ending. It doesn't help that people have quite literally oppressed that population in the decades since, leaving limited room for actual growth. Even as recently as the 70s there was housing discrimination and white flight opposing the mere idea of having a non-white neighbor. Like this shit is well within out parents generation Nowadays the people are definitely less racist than their grandparents but the systems and programs from the age of slavery still remain, as well as the psychological effects on us as a nation. --- ...
