If they have a 50 Mbps connection and someone downloads a large file, it's most likely going to hog up that whole 50 Mbps, which means a lot of traffic is going to get dropped at the "choke point." A lot of companies don't properly size their internet service for what they need either out of not knowing how much they need or the desire to pay as little as possible for the service. --- ...
