Topic	Streets of Rage 4 has reminded me how cruel games used to be.
pinky0926 07/02/20 5:41:08 AM #1:	It felt incredibly short, which made me wonder if it was any shorter than the original games, and turns out it's probably actually 30% longer. The reason it felt short is obvious - it lets you continue from the last stage. The original games had you playing them for what felt like the best part of a year trying to get to the end because any time you died you'd go back to Stage 1. I can only assume they were this way due to hardware limitations or to kind of cheat you into thinking you had tonnes of replayability.
