If you feel like you don't belong it's probably because you're projecting a certain perception onto others, without giving them a chance to prove you wrong. So you're splitting hairs. Once you talk to people you realize people have more in common than you thought. The average person is also way more pleasant than the internet leads you to believe. I think you are reading too much into this. I had social anxiety as a child, but got over it later in life. I'm commenting that the sensation of being a third wheel or something similar is much worse than being completely alone. --- You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. -Misattributed to CS Lewis ...
