Whether it's an upgrade or not depends on the individual (I love them, personally). XSEED handles it now so it has a new and improved translation. For features, same sex marriage is now available. Two new candidates. More heart events. Mining is more convenient. Crops have a rank now. More variety in pets, farm animals, and crops.
