It's referred to as "White Bat," and while the album art admittedly made me think they were singing about a literal monstrous bat, but the lyrics seem to suggest something different, maybe a serial killer or other type of cruel lunatic who preys on the weak. The bat imagery is strong though, portraying the person/creature stalking from the shadows and returning to the dark after striking. The setup to make a really terrifying creature is there, though it's hard to decide exactly how evil this creature is without getting a little more exploration on it. On top of that, I wish I liked the song more than I did.
