Realize that she's inundated with men asking her out, it sounds like you two have way different goals to begin with, and it's a mistake to approach this in a transactional way (an exchange of your attention for her understanding and compassion). You don't know this girl, and she clearly doesn't want that to change, it's beyond time to move on.
