I don't know how many of you know actual white supremacists but they're as opportunistic as they are paranoid, always desperately looking to every little thing to reaffirm their views. They'll take the smallest thing and blow it up. If they can't find anything, they'll take something and twist and distort it until they're content with the "proof" they found. A prominent black man talking about "black supremacy" like it's at all a possibility of happening - especially to the extent that white supremacy has been implemented in USA - is just so incredibly damaging to any pursuit of true equality that I don't think it can be overstated.

Of course, to those of you who are not racist, it's easy to focus on the positive nature of what he's saying, and I agree that it's a nice sentiment. We shouldn't let anyone become a tyrannical force over another while trying to achieve equality. That's not at all what white supremacists and other types of right-wing bigots take from this message. Not even close.

White supremacists already have all kinds of fears about sharing society with BIPOC. "Black supremacy" is a terrifying prospect to them because they already believe whites are under siege, starting at various points between 1865 and 2008, depending on who you're asking. There's a near universal perception among them that not only is racism against black people not a problem currently (if it ever was to begin with) it's actually the whites who are being persecuted.

They think that their women and children, homes, money, jobs, dignity, and legacy are on the verge of being taken from them by BIPOC. And they think black people are put on a pedestal, given special treatment, given extra attention - all at the expense of the whites. It's easy to look at things like history or who overwhelmingly possesses the political, social, and financial power in America and see how utterly wrong this is but they're incapable of recognizing this. The persecution complex inherent to white supremacy will not let them see this.

A prominent black man - especially one who got the "woke" credibility for being a male who spoke out against sexual assault in evil, Satanic, degenerate Hollywood - entertaining "black supremacy" is a gold mine to these idiots. It reaffirms everything they've ever believed in the nastiest way possible. Anything positive about that message is left in the dust of a whirlwind of anti-equality destruction because they only see a black man confirming their greatest fears, that "black supremacy" is a real thing and society needs to be vigilant about it, even though white supremacy is and always has been (and will seemingly continue to be for the foreseeable future) the vastly more credible and severe threat to the world.

And that's where things get scary. They're already vigilant about this bogeyman and several others. The right has a body count and white supremacists don't need to be emboldened in any fashion, even if by accident because of good intentions and feel good sentiment that has little, if any, real world application when it comes to America's race problem.

Yup. Many of the right-wingers I know who cancelled Crews because of his pro-China social media posts had no problem pointing to him to support their bigotry against black people.

Well said
