Yeah, crazy thing about completely new diseases is that there arent so called experts, because in order to be an expert you need to have studied something extensively which is pretty hard to do in an 8 month time period. That fact compounds when the virus itself appears to be changing. For reference, the Black Plague last approximately 300 years, reappearing in areas about every decade.
