He has cut all ties to his San Francisco business as he said "It is with regret that my initial statement and apology did not go far enough in addressing my behaviour in Carmel last weekend and the steps that i need to take. I can confirm that i have stepped down from Solid8, terminating all business relationships with immediate effect" He told Fox News that he left to prevent "detrimental impact on those people closest to me", particularly his co-workers at the cloud tech firm and says "I have once again begun my journey back to sobriety and have enrolled in an anti-racist program. My comments toward the families involved were racist, hurtful and deeply inappropriate. The reactions to what was said have been deserved and i wholeheartedly acknowledge that i am complicit in a system that enables this behaviour and these broken beliefs to exist but i am dedicated to changing". A Gofundme page was set up for the waitress who is called an everyday hero has now amassed 80,000. Lofthouse's mother is even disgusted by his behaviour and said he has addiction issues and that they are not like him and doesn't want him back in the UK. His own brother has an asian wife which makes this matter even more embarrassing..
