I could certainly say "all of the filling in this pie crust is apple" but I don't think I could say that the empty pie crust is "an apple pie". For a police force, I don't think a police force with zero officers is like a pie with no filling. For example, a futuristic police force could still be considered a police force if it exclusively used autonomous drones. It would be strange to call those drones "police officers" if they didn't identify as individuals. But a pie with no filling seems to me that it is missing a constitutive element of piehood --- god is dumb #NotAllGamers #YesAllLandlods ... Copied to Clipboard! |
