I'd think their power would be stripped somewhat if there was no football. To say the only people hurt by the lockdown would be the athletes that are mostly black is kinda near sighted. There is a LOT of money in college football, and the main recepiants of it are far from the players. The players obviously lose their chance to showcase their talents for a chance for a big payday by being a first round pick, but thats far from the only people who lose by this.
