The problem with a minimum wage bump, is that it cuts off a portion of workers who's work is just not worth the new wage floor, making their actual minimum wage $0.

Those barely-relevant political cartoon almost get the point.


Perceived value but from employers. Grocery store workers just recently became 'heroes' after all.
