I had been following all the pre-release details for Sonic Forces up to its release, and I about lost my shit when they revealed this song. Sonic Forces got shit on by critics and general audiences alike, but ultimately it was a game made for a very specific audience of die-hard fans that were all-in for a game that was willing to make fun of itself. Giving players the chance to play as their Sonic OC against a character so over-the-top edgy that he somehow manages to out-edge Shadow the Hedgehog is a fuckin stroke of genius, and that all culminates in Infinite's theme, which brags about how he's the sharpest of blades and the tallest of towers and is stronger than all his classmates at the sonic fighting academy and likes hot gurls with big boobys who are sluts. It's so goddamn over-the-top, and included in all that, it's a fuckin' banger (though had I not been so hyped for the song when it released, I might not think the same thing). As a villain song, it admittedly is pretty ineffective, given that literally all it tells you is that Infinite is the best and he's going to defeat you (you being Sonic I assume?
