lol is BS0 really trying to use that as a defense? Overlooking that the Democrats likely have more silver spoons than Republicans (for starters, there are like a million Kennedies), BS0 is trying to create a false dichotomy suggesting that the choice is between a silverspoon or an idiot. Never mind for one second that most politicians seem to hold lower political office before seeking higher political office, there are certainly countless "normal people" who aspire to posts higher than barkeep and who are actually intelligent. You could always go with somebody older, better educated, and who has been successful.
