Some planning for my final run for a while (last achievement): Jill Real Survival.

Chose Jill for a few reasons: 1) She has two extra slots, which will come in handy when picking up an extra herb, 2) She can completely skip Plant 42 with the V Jolt puzzle, 3) She gets the lockpick simplifying how I run through the early game and 4) She gets Barry's 44 Magnum to one shot Tyrant 1. Not gonna bother with the MO discs and I'm definitely gonna kill Barry to get the easiest ending. Not needing ammo for Tyrant 2 really loosens things up, and will allow me to use the magnum ammo as I get it, more or less. In general I doubt I'll be taking more than one healing item to a new spot, particularly in places like Residence or Caves which have a couple herbs and where I doubt I'll take any damage. The game gives you enough healing items each time you enter a new area anyway, and it's very easy to take little to no damage for basically the rest of the game once you get past crimson head prototype. And tbh, most of the damage I took in my Hard Jill run was from Forest (One Dangerous Zombie), which I don't think is in Real Survival.

I did consider Chris for the following reasons: He has more health and will be able to take more hits in the early game and 2) he gets 3 free heals from Rebecca after you deal with Richard. But frankly, by the time I actually have the armor key, I am kinda past where I would really appreciate those heals. Plus I need to deal with Plant 42 the old fashioned way and use a lot of shotgun ammo.

The hard part is going to be the first three keys with the Mansion. There's a lot of zombies around, Jill is weak, and herbs and handgun ammo are pretty scarce, as are defensive items. However, once I get the sword key and visit the east wing for the dog whistle, chemical, and the shotgun (using Barry save), along with the herbs near the chemical, I'll probably be past the worst of it, especially since I don't need to bother with the blue gem. I'll need to be conservative with shells though, since I'll probably want to save Richard for the Assault shotgun which should lead to a net gain in shotgun ammo (plus the extra damage). And that will leave me with more than enough to kill prototype. At this point, I'll be about to get the colt python, and my shotgun will basically be my go to zombie weapon for zombies I want to kill/put down.

In Residence I won't shoot anything aside from maybe a single zombie, but it seems easier just to lure that one into the bathroom where it gets stuck. I'll be taking the magnum with me because it'll be convenient to do so, and I'll want it to deal with the hunters near the east store room, but I'll be leaving my shotgun and handgun behind. I might leave the self defense pistol behind in Residence, but if I have extra space, I'll use it to kill the first Hunter instead.

When I get back to the mansion, I'll head down the hole for the medal and battery, as well as 12 shotgun shells and 6 magnum rounds, along with some herbs. Even if I'm somehow out of ammo, that will give me enough to kill Yawn for good, and essentially end my ammo worries for the rest of the game.

Caves and labs are probably where I'll try to use the grenade launcher. If I can lug the acid/fire rounds, I can deal with black tiger and the hunters pretty effectively. In fact, I can probably leave my shotgun at the mansion while I go down there, so I should have plenty of space. After that, I can use the leftover flame rounds to clear out some zombies in labs for the nitro walk (I should have 4), and just use Barry's magnum/the shotgun for everything else I want to kill.

I will say this would be significantly more difficult if I chose to fight Tyrant 2. However, I just want to keep things as doable as possible since I don't have the infinite pistol or rockets to fall back on.

With that said, I've had a lot of fun with this game, and really feel like I know a lot about it now. After a while I'll move on to doing all the extra challenges with RE2make to get all the unlocks as well.
