That's because when you normally hear yourself talk, you receive both sound transferred through your ears externally by air conduction and sound transferred internally through your bones. This bone conduction of sound delivers rich low frequencies that are not included in air-conducted vocal sound. So when you hear your recorded voice without these frequencies, it sounds higher and different.
But...my recorded voice sounds lower/deeper than what I hear internally....

Since your recorded voice does not sound how you expect it to, you dont like it.
That and I just don't think it sounds as good, objectively.
