Could have had fantastic potential as a two cour series, as it is it's just a solid fun show. I woukd say it's a product of the current market, would be very surprised if the series wasn't originally pitched to be longer with how it all went down and they just weren't able to make it happen, though at the same time I can't say anything in it was bad.
