yeah all the "kids will be fine" shit doesn't even think about, y'know, SPREADING THE DISEASE. sure, maybe most of the kids will recover, but there could still be complications. well, obviously the kids go home. who else is at home? just their also young siblings? oh yeah, their PARENTS. who else could be at home? GRANDPARENTS, the people most likely to die or suffer long term complications. maybe the parents and the grandparents have to work to keep the house paid for, so they become asymptomatic carriers and take it to their workplaces. and then it spreads and spreads.

it's incredibly short sighted to just not think at all about how the disease can actually spread around through kids, teachers, parents, and other school employees
