I think it's a shame in ways that gen x got skipped over in the presidential debate. They are the ones working behind the scenes. Obama was the closest one that became president but he was in beween a boomer and gen x. He's generation Jones. AOC is still too young imo. It's been all boomers and they will probably go straight to millennials.

Gen X is too divided politically, cynical and disengaged from politics in general. Unless you are talking about the jennifer aniston's and allyssa milano's of the world. There was probably hope somewhere there, but between boomers and millennials it got squashed.
