I used to be a Director's Club member of the San Diego Zoological Society. Oh yeah, I forgot I have a subscription to the Midwest Messenger, an agricultural newspaper, but I get it free because I qualify as a hobby farmer. It's normally $50 a year. I also have a subscription to Out magazine, even though I can't stand the damn thing, but I'm not paying for it either. I bought a subscription to the Advocate for my SO many many years ago, they got bought by Out, and when they discontinued the Advocate, the applied my remaining subscription to Out, and for some reason it's been renewing every year even though I'm not paying for it. The magazine sucks because it's all about glamour and fame and nothing about news like the Advocate, and half the ads are for AIDS drugs and half are for $200 t-shirts, $1000 sneakers and other stupidly overpriced clothing/jewelry.
