If an AI were beneficial and people were aware of it influencing society they would still be skeptical and rebel against it. If an AI were malevolent there is no advantage in an outright attack against humans. The best way to kill humans is to subtly manipulate things and let humans destroy themselves. Likewise the best way to help humans to let them think they're responsible for their own accomplishments. --- No locked doors, no windows barred. No more things to make my brain seem SKARD.
