TopicA PASSING Grade in Canada is 50. In America it's 60. WHICH should it be???

I'm pretty close to this. In high school I think a 60 is 'passing'. At most universities you can get less than a 70, but it won't count to many classes. Most pre-requisites state something like:

MATH 171 with a minimum grade of "C"

So a "D" (59-69) does you no good even though you didn't fail the class.

Personally, I always strive for about a 90 or better - that usually means I actually know something about the subject. 80-89 usually means I somewhat know it and anything less than 80 means I'm just guessing for the most part.


Unless you're planning on doing a career that involves math in some way then almost all math is useless to learn after the basics.
