Her owner had to go to hospice so she was surrendered to her original shelter and we just could not let that poor sweet girl suffer there and not be adopted. Best decision I've ever made. Our cat that passed a year an a half ago was about to be 19 and was my wife's first pet when she was 10. I try to make sure I internalize all I can with my interactions with them. They are wonderful and so chill that I want to give them the best end of their lives. I still cry from time to time thinking of the animals that I've had that passed. The 18 year old cat really fucked me up because it was my decision, not anyone elses. I still struggle but she had a mouth tumor that was so aggressive and she didn't eat for weeks.
