Doesn't that just support the behavioral association of "crying = getting attention?"

If the baby cries at 3AM every night, shouldn't the proper response be to... do nothing until the normal wakeup/feeding time? I feel like that would be a better route to a regular sleep schedule for the kid, yeah?
