this reminds me of getting frustrated seeing Brain Age try to claim "Smile" only has 1 syllable. Like with fire I guess, I just can't image the high 'i' sound working into an 'l' or 'r' without changing the sound to another syllable. Or(a)nge seems like a different sort of case though. At best, it being heard as just 1 syllable seems like it could be some unique local dialect thing maybe.
