Pendulums are confusing and I never bothered to properly learn how to play them, but literally all the other summoning methods are braindead easy and anyone that fails to understand them is just refusing to read what amounts to one sentence of text.

I'd argue that Synchros are probably the second most confusing summoning method, and a lot more people seem to understand that one.

I mean, Synchros are just like level based Fusions but instead of polymerization you use tuner monsters. They're more complex than fusion, ritual, and Xyz but they aren't that complicated. I don't know how Link Summons work though and Pendulums are stupid.
