From what I understand, the ENTIRE POINT of the movie is tackling hypersexualization in culture clashing with traditional family values and such. The movie won awards and shit, apparently it's quite good and is a good portrayal.

What I get out of the situation is that Netflix royally FUCKED the marketing and presentation of the movie. They have completely ruined its reputation before anyone even watched it. >_>

I haven't seen the movie obviously, but imo a concept like that is worth exploring, but Netflix went full bore into some full blown idiocy when writing up the description and making the title image. So personally I feel like the outrage is more than justified against netflix, but I can't really judge the movie itself unless I watch it and I'm not planning on doing so lmao

Sums up my thoughts on the whole situation really well.
