My brother did this. Met in December, married the next April. Engagement was 2 months long.

The most baffling thing is, that they didn't even like each other. She admitted she was after extra income(and this is her 4th marriage I think), and that she wasn't attracted to him physically. He admitted to not being attracted to her at all, but liked the attention she gave when he wanted something. Unsurprisingly, after getting married she stopped being as nice and got more controlling. So in return he stopped giving her everything she wanted and things got bad.

Anyway, they pushed through all of that and worked out most of the issues. They get along now and seem to genuinely care. But jeez, all that could've been avoided if they had actually, y'know, dated first.
