what are you using to manage this? I got a good chunk of savings I need to invest and been researching options...
I just have an etrade account.

Ew that's virtually nothing.

Yeah, but logically if I end up building that up to 11000 shares of their stock, that's $1540 every 6 months. 22000 shares, $3080 every 6 months.

My goal is to build up over time so that I'm getting thousands of dollars per quarter in dividends to supplement my income. Pie in the sky goal is to match my income from work with dividend income.

If that happens, then I can just decide whether I want to keep working or not. If I can get there, then my work income is just bonus and that would mean financial freedom. If I still enjoy what I do, I'd probably keep working just to keep investing more and more. If I don't enjoy it or I don't feel like it's worth it, I could just live off of dividend income.
