If the kid is going to claim self-defense in his trial, he's going to point out that the "one-armed man" had a weapon, and was well within his rights to take him out.
The kid can rationalize why he had a weapon...2nd Amendment, protecting property,....etc....
What's the thug's excuse? Wasn't he supposed to be a "peaceful protestor", why bring a gun?
This isn't about two wrongs being a right, because nothing about these riots are "right" to begin with.
