People claiming that "He shouldnt have been there!"....(as if that somehow justifies people assaulting him)...is kinda messed up.

He went with the intention of helping. In the act of helping (putting out the literal dumpster fire)....the mob got violent towards HIM.

He was the victim here.

I realize he killed two people and seriously injured one....but they attacked him first, fired shots at him, and were going for his rifle during a scuffle. He feared for his own life. Several videos attest to all of this.

All the people against Kyle....are victim-blamers, many of whom never even watched the videos.

But don't get me wrong. Kyle will very likely be charged and convicted for several other things:

-Manslaughter (obviously) ((But there is a slim chance of being completely overturned due to self-defense)).
-Out past curfew.
-Pretty sure he DIDN'T cross states lines with the rifle....but pretty sure the rifle was NOT registered to him (a ton of conflicting reports on this....but pretty important).
-Claiming to be an EMT, but not officially a certified EMT (I'm not even sure if there are actual laws against this, but it's something)

That's honestly about it.

Meanwhile.....many of the violent protestors clearly committing arson, theft, and assault in countless videos.....strangely aren't being charged with anything. And if they are, the media sure as hell isn't reporting it.
