Not only have I rarely seen a topic without him claiming how much money he makes (or can make), he also talks about how much he saved. And wants to retire with like a million in his 30s... And he says he doesn't spend money on anything or something. Though, he does seem to buy some non-important stuff... Its just confirmation bias, Ive started keeping track of my topics in excel and not a lot are about my income or saving or early retirement. I dont actually have that much invested either compared to PotDers who have been working a while. I do agree I have frivolities like a few board game costing > $500, but my total spending is lower than most people my age because I dont make many small purchases or actual big-ticket items. Plan is to retire with about 2 million in 30s, but I also wouldnt call that being rich, just being middle class with more free time. Being rich without a job Id say starts around 5-10Million. ...
